Spire Id has been building interiors in Singapore since 2009 — apartments, landed homes, cafés, embassies and workplaces.
What we are for
We are a small practice, and that is a decision rather than a stage.
It means the person who draws the space is the person who walks the site, and the detail agreed in a meeting is the detail that gets installed.
Drawings are a promise.
The site is where it gets kept.

A workplace bar in Jurong West. The same drawings, the same site visits, the same fabricators — the brief changes, the way we work through it does not.
How the work happens
Most of the work happens before there is anything to look at.
How a household actually moves through a morning, where the light lands, what a handover date will really allow — the drawings follow from that, and so does the conversation about money, which we would rather have early and plainly than late and carefully.
Desmond Phua leads the practice and Yvonne Chiang leads the design. We are HDB-registered, we work across homes and commercial interiors, and we deal directly with the contractors and fabricators who build what we specify.
