Privacypolicy
How we handle personal data you give us, and how to reach us to correct it or ask us to stop using it.
This privacy policy sets out how Spire Id Pte Ltd uses and protects any information that you give Spire Id Pte Ltd when you use this website. It is written to be read alongside Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), under which we handle personal data.
Spire Id Pte Ltd is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
To safeguard your personal data, all electronic storage and transmission of personal data is secured with appropriate security technologies. If you are only browsing this website, we do not capture data that allows us to identify you individually.
What we collect
We may collect the following information:
- Name
- Contact information, including email address and telephone number
- Details of the property or project you are enquiring about, and anything else you choose to send us with your enquiry
This website has no forms. Everything above reaches us only because you chose to send it — by email, by telephone, or in conversation.
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Responding to your enquiry and quoting for work.
- Internal record keeping, and the administration of any project we go on to carry out for you.
- Improving the services we offer.
- Sending you occasional emails about our work or about offers we think you may find interesting — but only where you have given us consent to receive them, and every such message will tell you how to stop receiving them.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires. In practice:
- Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Records relating to a project we carried out are kept for seven years after the project completes, which is the period Singapore's tax and contract-record obligations require.
- Marketing consent records are kept for as long as we hold the consent, and for 24 months after it is withdrawn, so that we can show the withdrawal was honoured.
Photographs of completed work are published with the homeowner's permission and are kept in our portfolio until that permission is withdrawn. Tell us and we will remove them.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Cookies and this website
This website does not set cookies. It carries no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no social embeds and no third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site itself rather than from an external network, so simply reading a page sends nothing about you to anyone else.
One item is stored locally in your browser's session storage: a marker recording that you have already seen the site's opening animation, so that it is not replayed on every page. It contains no personal data, it is never sent to us, and your browser discards it when you close the tab. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings, and nothing on the site stops working if you do.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server request records — including IP address, browser type and the time of the request — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. We do not use those records to identify individual visitors.
If we ever add analytics or any other cookie-setting service, this section will be updated before it goes live and you will be asked for consent where the PDPA requires it.
Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Controlling your personal information
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We do share it with the contractors, fabricators and suppliers who need it to carry out a project you have engaged us for, and only to the extent they need it.
Under the PDPA you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw any consent you have given us — including consent to marketing. If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at enquiry@spireid.com.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the same address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect. We aim to acknowledge every request within 5 working days and to answer it within 30 days.
Contacting us about your data
Our data protection officer can be reached at enquiry@spireid.com or on +65 8829 1238. Please mark data protection enquiries for the attention of the Data Protection Officer. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
